Dhahi Khalfan's Ramadan Majlis Calls for Establishing a Culture of Organ Donation
Participants in the Ramadan Majlis, presided over by His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, and hosted by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, suggested that organ donation be made a culture and that people be made more aware of its social and humanitarian ramifications. A number of high-ranking government and corporate sector officials were present at the Majlis.
The majlis, which was called the "Life for Sustainability Program," included discussions about tissue transplantation, organ donation, and transplantation. In addition to enhancing donation opportunities when necessary, attendees learned about healthy habits that can extend biological lives.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim opened the majlis with a speech in which he welcomed everyone present and commended the wise leadership's unrestricted support for the nation's health sector and its steadfast dedication to making people the center of its attention and a strategic priority in all development plans.
His Excellency Dhahi Khalfan said, The Hayat show has gained a lot of traction thanks to social media, which has emerged as a powerful tool for reaching the most remote audiences. Those who create and spread positivity have the biggest influence.
"The UAE has now achieved a prominent position and become a role model in organ donation and transplantation at the regional and global levels, having successfully launched a comprehensive national program that blends global medical excellence with noble humanitarian dimensions," stated Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector at the Ministry.
He clarified that the accomplishments of the Hayat program are a result of the joint efforts of strategic public and private sector partners to create a cutting-edge healthcare system that satisfies the highest international standards while guaranteeing a deeply ingrained social culture that encourages organ donation.
Dr. Ali Al Obaidli, Chairman of the National Committee for Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation, examined the Hayat program's significant accomplishments and its aspirational goals.
