Dhahi Khalfan receives a book entitled “Legal Regulation of Partnership Contracts between the Public and Private Sectors in the State.”
His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, received a copy of a book entitled “Legal Regulation of Public-Private Partnership Contracts in the United Arab Emirates and Means of Settling Disputes” from lawyer Dr. Rashid Sultan Al Kaitoob, who was received by His Excellency the Lieutenant General in his office, accompanied by his father, former Ambassador His Excellency Sultan Al Kaitoob.
The book discusses the UAE's partnership processes and mechanisms for anticipating the future, supporting innovation, and ensuring sustainable development. It emphasizes the importance of applying the partnership system in accordance with laws, adapting it to the country's best interests, and reducing the burden of financing development projects. It also highlights the potential for transferring technology and private sector expertise to the public.
The partnership between the public and private sectors was deemed the most suitable mechanism for achieving the country's objectives, as it avoids the defects of the privatization system, ensures project speed and cost-effectiveness, and improves service quality. The involvement of the national or foreign private sector in the development process is crucial for achieving the country's principles, goals, growth, and aspirations. His Excellency thanked Dr. Rashid Sultan Al-Kaitoob for his dedication and wished him success in this important topic.
